Tbh, I don’t usual equate Motel 6 with quality lodging anymore but this place is clearly well managed, clean, and the check in person was super nice and accommodating. The price is basic so please don’t expect spa items in the bathroom. Our room had a fridge and microwave. Everything worked. Internet was great. The town is sweet. There is a park down the street half a mile to chill in and across from the park is a Mexican cuisine restaurant with some very authentic eats. A wonderful experience and I’d stay again and send my friends.

I have travelled a lot throughout the US and stayed in many many Motel 6. This is by far the best one! The facility is really well renovated and maintained. Spotless room, soft towels, comfy bed... The swimming pool area turned into a pool/ lounge room is a brilliant idea and the laundry room is always a plus. Staff was super friendly and made it easy to add a second night. Good location if you are visiting Winterset and Des Moines.

Friendly overnight staff woman, the room was super duper clean, the place was full except 2 rooms(according to the nice staff lady) and it was SILENT at 3 am when we got there and laid down.. The bed was comfy, surprisingly there was no highway noise in our room either.. I’d stay again while passing thru on our next road trip!

The hotel has been renovated. It looks like new! We especially liked the medium size refrigerator in the room. We were able to freeze our ice packs and place our two cooler bags in it to keep our food cool. Also, it was plenty of parking space for our car and uhaul trailer.
